Going Shopping

I took all 6 of the kids shopping for the first time today. We hit up Target and the local farmers market. It went really well! They were really good and I'm proud of them. The cashier at Target said: "I see you have a daycare." ... I wish you could've seen her face (as well as the people in line behind me) when I explained that they were all mine! LOL! 

The girls got super cute new hats...I did too! I'll post a pic of them soon! :-)

I bought 10 loaves of bread and 4 whole free range turkeys, plus lots of produce! That might feed us for a couple of weeks! 

Love my Ergo and that it allows me to snuggle this sweet baby even more! 

Dream Night

We were blessed to be able to attend "Dream Night" at the zoo this evening. It was an event for families that we received tickets to from our amazingly awesome adoption caseworker! All of the extra activities at the zoo (rides, animal feedings) were free, there were prizes, a book giveaway, character meet and greet, and catering from one of my favorites, Chick Fil A! The kids really enjoyed riding the carousel! 

We also had some family bonding cheering for each other on the monkey bars at the zoo playground! This was L's first time to try them out and he was thrilled to be a part of things!

We've officially been a family of 8 for a couple of weeks now, and I wanted to share a few pictures of the fun we've been having as we grow together!

Weekend Visitations

The past two weekend have gone really well! All 6 of our kids play so well together, and we've had some really enjoyable family time. We really miss our older three when they have to leave. We only have two more weekend visits before placement! Yay!!! We sign our Adoption Placement Agreement on May 23rd, making everything official! The past two weekends have been full of fun! We participated in the foster care awareness walk, went to the zoo, planted our veggies, and had a campfire to roast hotdogs and s'mores!

Yard Work With Sparklers

We took advantage of the warm weather yesterday evening and did some more work outside prepping the vegetable garden and moving the firewood stack. B was a great helper! Afterwards we enjoyed sparklers...just for fun! :-)

First Overnight!

Our first overnight visit went very well! Friday evening after dinner we had a family movie night with popcorn, then Saturday morning the girls and I had fun with hair and nails while the boys played in the backyard. We all headed to the park for a picnic lunch and more playtime together that afternoon. It was a great day! (Sorry I don't have more pictures to share right now...the ones I took all contain faces! ;-)
